... and came back with a brand new Rav 4 XTR 150 D4D

We will get it in about 2 weeks and was quoted a 20 week wait if we wanted it with Sat Nav!

Mrs Duncs has also sold her Rav to her parents (they've got rid of their LR Disco!) so we will be a one Rav family :)

Obviously, photo's will follow in a few weeks

Didn't know they sold RAVs in Mothercare  Just be careful you don't go out for a pushchair - you'll probably end up with a Landcruiser ;)

Have you got a cigar on hand for the happy event?

So is the T180 in for the change or the wife now got the new one.....

At least you now have a full set of spare tyres for the T180 RAV...

Must admit when my wife was pregnant, we used to have a Ford Fiesta...and went out to buy a new fridge and came back with a new Ford Sierra GLX..... :o :D :D :D

Nice one Duncs and Mrs Duncs

..........and sorry Fuj, a belated "nice one" too! :D. I'll be very interested to see what "real world" economy you (or will it be Miss Daisy ) get out of that new Prius 1.8 hybrid set up.

I was quoted 16-17 weeks for Sat Nav for this , when I test drove it a few days ago. Standard vehicle 2-3 weeks, leather 4-5 weeks.

Has that put the cat among the pigeons? :g: No, I doubt it.

Sorry, at the moment, I don't think you'll be getting rid of me that easily :D.

Thanks shcm

I doubt it will be the full on Miss Daisy driving the Prius...but it is so relaxing to driving, I can't see me being pedal-to-the-metal either!

Some of the 'ordinary' driving figures our American friends are getting with their Gen III's are very impressive and if I can get near them I'll be happy! :D

What did you think of the Urban Cruiser?

Not sure at the moment, we didn't notice a huge difference in performance. Doing the maths, I think a chip could make the car faster

than the T180 :nerd:

What colour is it?

It's Decuma Grey (I wasn't allowed another blue one!) :)

Is This the rascal Duncs, Certainly looks faster than a T180 and no runflats..Kingo reckons his chips give a minimum of 20% which is a minimum of 180 BHP  Stew

"Could be improved", as a three word summary. Could go on at length about various observations, but I don't want to hi-jack Duncs' thread.

Nice - well done to the both of you. Mind and fit a 6-point harness for the we'en. I could always make a point to initiate the wee one in what a RAV should drive like...... just got number 2 back from the garage with a new turbo and cleared out exhaust. And glad yer moving towards the original RAV silver!!!

Stews quote of 180bhp is a bit weak tho - number 1 RAV you saw a wee while ago is now running 400bhp. Then again its only 3 doors and 2 seats. (Spare engine in stock!) Once Mrs DD is keen/fit/whatever, maybe she'll need a drive in the machine to remind her of how cars should be. (Fast, furious, and......oh sorry.....a family forum with ever-vigilant obsessors)

  • 2 weeks later...

Just a quick update...

Car arrives on Friday, so I'm not going to be able to collect the car until next Thursday (joys of shift work!)

Just another week to wait :)

Nice one Duncs. Did you px the T180? It'd be interesting what kind of money you got for it. Just wondering if the RFT issues have hit the s/h market values.

Hey Duncs, don't know about anyone else but I'm dying for this review!!! I sat in the demo but didn't have chance to drive. I did notice that they blagged my cut out engine cover to miss the vac unit. It's now called the anchorman cover.............
