Buying An Iq(3) Today Advise Please

Hi there,

Right today I am doing the deal on trading in my £64k BMW M3 convertible tiptronic for an IQ(3) plus a lovely cheque back.

Toyota very nicely gave me an IQ(2) manual 1 litre to drive for the past couple of days and its a great little car.

But do I go for a manual or Auto in the new car?

The gear box in the 1 litre seems extremely good but I have been doing motorway driving in it. For to and from work I will be doing mostly town driving but ocaasional motorway driving.

I am also having the Sat/Nav option but is there anything else you recommend I go for options wise?

Colour wise I wanted white but there is a 10 week waiting list, so I will probably go black. The car will be sign written as well. May as well use the cars full potential of people looking at it to advertise my business.

Now wheres the option for the 420bhp. :D

Check out some of the reviews for the auto, not too good. Personal choice though. I would not get any options especially sat nav at that money! But then if you got a 64k beemer then what is a few hundred to you :o

Was only going to put the sat nav in for the bluetooth and less chance of it being nicked than a tom tom or similar.

The colour is the hardest bit, what colour would be better for a car thats being sign written?

decuma grey looks great !!! on pictures and for real. and fex IQ will have it it's only for IQ3. But if i could choose i would have taken a real white, not this "pearl aspect" that i don't like.

hmmm i think the sat nav is a tad pointless as for what its worth its a bit exensive...leather seats is a must...since u have money to spend..sports kit. but if u do get sat nav i know u wont need it but get the parkin sensors and cameras its well cool!!

I saw pics of the Decuma Grey and its the only other colour i would have (I have White)

I have my rear window sign written and it looks awesome though. Depends what colour the sign writing will be...

Only you can decide on the options though... why not go top spec if you can afford to! :P

I went for cloth as for one thought the plum leather looked a bit tastless also cloth seats will hold you better when cornering as leather will let you slide.

How much is the rear camera as I didnt get offered that, not that you should really need it.

You don't need a rear camera if you can turn your head right... and look through rear window !

I cant do that! There is a pillar in the way! I must need a camera! Oh wait you are from france, MccLtd is from England so am i. Now i know what you mean. I hope... Sorry could not resist it. I do agree though, you can see perfectly going straight backwards, its only side vision thats a bit poor. :D

Here's another vote for the leather, it's worth ordering in my opinion. Or even ringing up and changing your existing order!

If you don't like the Plum colour (which matches with the interior nicely), my dealer offered Black, Grey, Red at no additional cost. Someone on this forum went for a bright orange leather, can't remember who it was though.

omg red leather interior in a black or grey iq would be amazing...if only i wasnt a student dependant on the loan haha

What! my dealer said there was only 1 interior with the option of brown leather or cloth. I was give my right arm for red leather interior. Would have been a bargain at that price.
