Hi . i am wanting to change the oil in my back axel on my 1995 auto 30td knz130 surf now the surf came with two types of axel lsd and non lsd how do i tell the diffrence as that need diffrent oil ????

Look at the axle code on the Vin plate on the bulkhead, also LSD axles should have a sticker near the filler plug.

I have had a good look on the axel and chassie plate cant find any thing about lsd axel so i am going yo refill with standard 80/90 gear oil

Hi Andy . Well i have been over my surf and still cant find a thing about the rear axel nothing even checked the axel casing and cant find any numbers !! what about just filling the axel with lsd oil will the wrong oil do a non lsd axel any harm? my only outher hope is to try a toyota main dealer (lol) to see if thay can find out from the chassie number bit i am not hopefull!!!

Then it's a normal one, so just use 80/90 gear oil.
