Air Conditioning Display

Took delivery of a Tspirit a couple of days ago and there doesn't seem to be any backlight to the air con display. The Prius brochure shows what appears to be a green display with black icons, but all I get is a grey unlit background. I haven't driven at night yet and I guess it would be difficult to see the display in the dark. I can't see any reference in the manual to whether or not it is backlit. I guess the same would apply to the audio display on the T3/T4 models.

Should the displays be backlit?

If you have a new Gen3 T Spirit, then the display IS backlit in green at ALL times.

It does not dim with the other instrument displays when the lights are on.

I have just been out to the garage to confirm the above !

Yes, all lights up with the headlights on.

Just to clarify, the backlight for the AC display is ON at all times in READY mode.

Not dependant on the light switch at all.

Thanks for your replies.

I checked again yesterday and in fact it does light up with a 'very dim' green background, which is not very obvious in daylight, but does give a clear display at night.
