Front Mount Intercooler On Stock T25

Hey everyone, i´d like to know if there are any performance gains (NM & hp) when i buy a bigger intercooler on my stock 1cd-ftv (116hp & 280nm) engine with a Steinbauer performance chip (currently my t25 is running @ 141hp and 340nm).

I have to increase the boost by 0.1-0.2 when mounting a bigger one is that correct? How do I increase it? With a standard boost controller or with a digital one like greddy or apexi avc-r? And what about the amount of injected fuel, do i have to increase the amount too?

I know many questions and excuse me for my english.

best regards from germany.

Why would you have to increase boost level? I can't see any reason.

The original cooler is crappy as hell. You can find a cooler from a newer facelift T25 that will fit directly to your car. Or the other option is to buy a chinese one from eBay, for example.

You don't have to do anything to the box, when changin to a better cooler.

Have you had your car on a dyno and the same time had your box remapped? If not, that's the first thing i would do.

I´ve read something about preasurelost because a new intercooler has a bigger volume. I don´t know it, that´s why I´m asking here ;)

I installed a Chip which is connected directly between the injectors and the engineharness. This is from the manual:

After that I was on a dyno with the result of 338nm and 140hp. Theres no need to remap the box according to the manufactor.

So you mean I can buy the facelift intercooler or an aftermarket one and thats all? Are there any performance gains? I read that the torque can be increased (slightly)?

The intercooler it self doesn't give more power, but you can feel the difference on very warm weather.

I can promise you that you will get more power out of the car by remappin the box on a dyno. I had that done on my old T22 with a Steinbauer box.
