Hi,

i have just ordered a black t3 and was wondering if anyone can answer a few questions?

1, what sort of range are you getting from a full tank?

2, is the stereo on the t3 (6 speakers) any good sound wise?

3, is there an aux input for an mp3 player?

4, whats is the "B" setting on the gear stick for?

5, what do toyota mean by duel zone aircon

6, does the hud work in bright sunlight?

any help would be great.

1. Had a Tspirit for just 5 days, so too early to comment on mpg, but current figure is around 55mpg

2. TSpirit I think has the same system but with 8 Speakers and I am very pleased with it.

3. Yes, all models have aux input in the centre console box.

4. The B setting is engine braking, similar to dropping down a gear when going down hill.

5. Dual zone aircon is a mistake in the brochure. None of the models have it.

6. Yes HUD works fine in sunlight. It has a brightness control if you need to change the level.

Are you sure they do not have Dual Zone aircon - thought the car I test drove (t4) did have 2 temp displays to indicate that passenger and driver could have seperate temperatures.

Got my black T3 yesterday. T 3 spec is great and was recommended in Whatcar (never used any of the additional toys in my previous car. It looks fantastic, but make sure you get the paint protection to keep it looking that way. The stereo is great too. I am disappointed with the wheels though. They have plastic covers over some sort of alloy wheel and do not look as nice as the 17 inch wheels. I will definitely consider changing these as some stage. There is no duel zone in any model..guess that takes alittle more juice to power!

I think what you are seeing is the external temperature display which is shown the same display as the CC display. I thought that was a bit odd & not sure why it isnt in the main instrument cluster

On the Gen 2, it is shown on at least two of the screens (on the MFD), the ones that I can recall are the Climate Control and Energy Consumption. Does the Gen 3 have an icy road conditions warning? (I can't remember if it does on the Gen 2).

Having read the brochure which does state Dual Zone CC and then thinking I had seen the 2 temp displays I naturally assumed it was Dual Zone but clearly it does not have this feature which is a shame because I currently have it in my VW Touran and do find it useful when the wife is also in the car as I like it cooler than she does. Oh well if I end up with a Gen 3 Prius she will just have to wear an extra layer in the car !!
