Has anybody else had trouble with their locks jamming? Mine systematicly all went begining with the epassenger door, I noticed this when buying the car second hand and just assumed the previous owner did not maintain them with WD40, but when the petrol lock, boot lock and drivers door all started going the same way in the space of a week? Toyota repaired it under warranty and said the tumbler pin broke, is this a common problem?

To save anybody else the pain in the ***** I suffered getting toyota to replace the whole lock set, they would only replace the barrels individually as they cant tracr key numbers from chassis numbers, this would have meant 5 different keys for the car. Anyway im rambling, if you need the key number it is printed on the imobiliser chip which you can see once you prise open the two halves of the key top. this I found out after when playing about with the old keys.

Hope this helps anybody who might be experienceing the problem, it begins with the key not turning freely everytime, act now as it will after a short time, week or so just stop turing, think about it if your petrol cap was failing like me, the boot was anoying but petrol cap was frightening. Can ye let me know if its a wide spread problem?

Hi There.

My wife's Aygo Ignition switch started feeling "dry".

Rather than have it seize altogether, I bought some ABUS lock lubricant.

This contains minute particles of Graphite suspended in a liquid.

Once sprayed into the locks, the liquid evaporates leaving the Graphite behind.

Its the proper stuff to lubricate locks with, WD40 is just a water dispersant.

Worth every penny. Done Wife's car. My Aygo. All house locks & bike shed padlocks & my Triumph. Still feels full !

Oh that doesnt sound good, how far apart were they and did they charge you for either? Good thing the aygo will practically run on air then.
