Hi Guys,

Ordered and waiting for my new T-Spirit tyrol silver with protection pack and led tech pack delivery expected mid October. Has anyone any experience of the DAB radio and can tell me if the reception is good, is there a limit to the size of SD card you can put in the radio and how the DAB unit fits into what is currently on the dashboard, etc?

The DAB tuner is a litle box which is fitted somewhere behind the console. It does not change the original display on the Tspirit and does not provide an SD slot or USB slot. The photo in the brochure is apparantly a dealer fit option for the T3/T4 models.

Blimey it's a £460 extra just for a little box! I wanted it to play my music collection through so no good for that then.

If i was you i would give it a miss as it just adds a dab facility to the sat nav/head unit screen, that is unless you want it.

it sounds as though you looking more for an ipod/usb integration socket. this is available as an EXPENSIVE accessory for dealer fitment, but can anyone out there who has a gen 3 model tell all those who are waiting for theirs to arrive, if the standard aux input socket located in the centre box is any good for connecting an mp3/mp4 player to play your own music through the head unit.

I have a Creative Zen at the moment through the auxiliary socket in my generation 2. It works quite well but I just like the idea of the dab with the USB socket and SD card slot. I am amazed that the Dealers know very little about the accessories but it is not their fault, it is the fault of Toyota GB with the scant information and the LED pack fiasco.
