Mirror Replacement

Hi, just joined here after getting a used Auris TR 1.4 D4D with 1700 miles on the clock.

Pleased with is so far, except that a few days after getting it, I drive by a pigeon sitting on the opposite side of the road, which then takes off and flies toward me and smacks straight into my wing mirror :( The pane was broken (and was only held on by the heater wires) but the rest of the housing is OK.

My question is, can you get just a replacement heated pane, or does the whole housing need replacing?

Also, is it easy to replace a heated pane?

My wing mirror was smashed while car was parked (other driver disappeared leaving his mirror on the ground). You can replace only heated glass and plastic inside. It is fitted with plastic locking so just put some soft cloth on a screwdriver and try to gently remove it. It should pop out.

Thanks :) any idea on prices for an original part? Not sure that I want to muck around with that stick-on stuff on eBay...
