2002 Camry V6 Check Engine

The "check engine light" came on at 16,300 miles on my 2002 Camry V6 SE. Thanks to Auto Zone I was able to check the code. The code was 1135 "A/F heated sensor bank 1 sensor 1". I am posting this because I saw a few questions on the number of O2 sensors and the locations. The dealer fixed the problem after finding the same code, at N/C, 2+ hours. This sensor was the one at the exhaust manifold closest to the firewall (rear). The V6 for this year has 3 sensors, one at each manifold and one under the engine in the pipe before the cat. The part that I don't understand is that Auto Zone priced the sensor at $490 and the dealer priced it at $281. This was a N/C repair, but I'm sure that there are plenty of 2002s with more than 36,000 miles out there. Hopefully the reliability of O2 sensors will improve.

Take Care
