Hello this is my first post on this forum provoked by an unfortunate accident. My aygo is sometimes used for work and whilst transporting paint one 10 litre bucket of magnolia emulsion (water based) and most of the bucket went into the car. The back seats had been folded down and luckily most stayed in the boot area but some went down the side of the left hand side rear seat and onto the floor. I managed to suck up most of the paint with a wet and dry cleaner and have started to get the paint out of the carpet by use of water sponge and making use of the drain plugs under the spare tyre. However that paint that went down of the seats is hard to get at and the removal of the back seats is required. I took out 2 bolts (I think they were either 11 or 12mm) on either side of the car, a further 2 of the same size in the middle connecting to the floor and one 13 mm connecting the 2 seats, but cannot get the seats out. I am only looking to remove the back of the rear seats but if all the rear has to come out I can do so. I would appreciate some help in how to remove them.

The bench part of the rear seat needs to be lifted up (firmly) to remove. It is not screwed down. Once removed, you should be able to find some more bolts to undo the backrests.

Good luck with clean up.
