Air Bag Light Reset

Bot a 1993 toyota new and it is a great car (200,000 trouble free miles) the hood struts went out and while changing them I had to disconnect a harness which was attached and it turned out to be the air bag front sensors.

Forgot to plug in and got a false air bag failure light when trying to start car. Plugged in and all is well but the light stays on because I need to reset the ab computer. Two dealers in San Antonio wanted $80 and $50 dollars and I know it is a simple one minute task because I have seen it done. I tried taking the Battery leads off overnight and short the two cables together to clear any static electricity but no luck. I see an ab lead in the diagnois plug and want to ground it but not sure and do not want to set the bag off.

Any help from you folks would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Bill
