The D4-D have got plenty in reserve and more so than other engines IMO and I toyed with the idea of having one but as a family car did not think it was really sensible. It already has plenty of power if you know when to shift inside the very narrow torque band.

You could spend £400 from Toyota on the chip but it is pretty pointless as it is from one of those standard manufacturers in Germany where you could probably source it for less directly or from here: http://www.mydieselbox.co.uk/toyota-auris-...tuning-box.html for a fair prise of £139.99.

I do not see how these chips can get so much more torque out of an engine by simply fueling it more but it is fair to say they should lead to more fueling and horse power.

We supply chip kits, and it is true, you get what you pay for ;)

1.4 Aygo Yaris Auris etc £129 INC Delivery (Cheaper than the above link)

All other D4D INC T180 models £375 delivered. This kit does far more than the cheap kits you find

Interestgly enough, the chip kit above says it uses manufacturer plugs, but the picture show is a PC type connector, and nowhere does it say it is digital, so you could pay more and get a cheap as "chips" annalogue box

Both of our kits are fully digital and are designed to work well within the manufacturers tolerences

Toyota don't make a chip kit for the majority of their cars (Hilux excepted) and they cost best part of £1000

PM me for more info or to order

Anybody tried tunit box?
@ £469.00 it is not an option when parts king will do it for less.

I have a Psi Powerbox on mine. If you like driving briskly then this is really worthwhile. Fuel economy suffers a bit, probably because I enjoy the extra mid-range oomph! I have used this for about 18 months with no problems.

When i raised this before one or two people were sceptical, I can only assume that they have never tried such a modification. It makes the car fast enough to be fun. I lowered mine using TTE springs so that I could exploit the power more. it is a bit bouncy but better round the bends.

The more expensive of our boxes has four adjustable settings too ;)

I've also been toying with the idea of doing some more to my Yaris... as its now coming up to being a year old.

I had a look at panel filters about 6 months ago, and couldn't find a manufacturer who made any for the 2006+ Yaris... not sure if that has changed since.

Interesting reading Parts Kings revised prices.... have PM'd for some more info!

Another thing that could be worth investing in if you're upping the power (assuming you don't already have the TTE springs) is a rear sway bar, imported from the states. Toyota sell them as official parts out there (under the guise of TRD) and its meant to completly change the feel of the Yaris - makes it much more neutral and feel less 'top heavy' in the corners. Again I was looking at this a while ago, but given the state of the £ vs $ It worked out quite expensive...

Cheers,
