Clutch Pedal On Floor

Hello everyone . can anyone help . If my 02 d4d stands unused for a couple of days the clutch pedal is on on the floor when i go to use it . I can lift the pedal up and it works fine . Just seems a bit strange .

thanx mate . it has a hydrolic clutch so i did n,t think the pressure plate would drag the pedal down .

I think you will find there should be a spring that holds the pedal up, this spring may be broken or disconnected and when stood for a period of time the pedal slowly sinks down due to a slight leakage of the master cylinder seal.

i don't think its the clutch it self but indeed the spring that holds te pedal up..

had a copple of cars at work with the same problem

thanx foe the help . spring does seem a bit weak . some times pedal isnt returning fully . i.m have a good look at it and try lubeing up the linkages etc .
