Hi,

Just wondering if anyone can help me with this. Today my door ajar light on the dash has decided to stay on permanently and I was wondering if anyone could shed any light as to why? I've checked all door which are locked and on the advice of someone I sprayed WD40 inside the key holes and around the clamps which lock the door in place but that has had no effect.

Thanks

John

Have you checked all the doors? Is the boot not shut properly?

Could be one of the switches has packed up.

I've checked all of the doors and the boot which is what I suspected at first. A few times in the past I havent fully closed the boot and drove off, so have had to pull over and close it, but it was closed fully as are the other doors. I can lock the doors using the inside switch near the handbrake and also buy manually locking the door with the key.

Hi there,

I've just bought a Celica which has this exact same issue. Did you manage to get it sorted? If so, what was the problem? I've pressed in the door and bonnet switches and they don't turn the light off.

Cheers,

Matt
