Gearbox Codes St 185/205

hi there can any one tell me if there are any gearbox codes out there so i no if im buying a st185 or st 205 box please

Hi, not sure but i do know these are st185 gearbox codes.

E150F - 4.285 final gear ratio

E151F - 3.933 final gear ratio

E152F - has close ratio on the 1st through 4th gear and 4.285 final ratio

The most common amongst these is the E150F.

Does it matter which gearbox mad? Im pretty sure 185 or the 205's gearbox go we either engine not 100% but im pretty sure mate.

yea defo right there but how can i tell if the gearbox was out a st205 has ive been told there the ones to look out for ??

Ah i see what u mean.

http://www.gtfours.co.uk/ Theres some pictures of a 185 gearbox on there under transmission, mine is coming out in the next 2 weeks so unless you find any info by then i'll get some pics and serial number if i can find it.
