One Year Old Yaris 1.3 Sr With Rust!

My one year old yaris sr is suffering with rust problems i brought car new and it doesnt live by the coast, the rust is coming through body from behind boot hinges. I is well PIS:censor:ED!!!. I had a four year Avensis before this which didnt have this problem and also had a 1992 corrolla which didnt have rust. If anybody esle has had this problem then let me know!! Ive already taken car back to garage for the bolts on boot to be replaced in effected area now I will be taking it back this week

If I get up in the morning and see big ships passing by my window... does it mean I live by coast as well?

Ps-My Yaris had already its 1st "from-underneath" water splash to rinse all the salt, algae and other spiders that might gather on the bottom of my Yaris :)

No Rust, But the paint quality on my 2008 black Yaris SR is AWFUL. So thin its ridiculous, significantly worse than the Aygo i had before, and the "W"plate Hyundai Accent that is our second car.

I am currently formulating a complaint, but am planning to give it till the beginning of next year beforehand to see if any rust develops over the winter

Hi,

not sure if it something to do with the black paint, but my Rav i bought new in 07 with astral black was terrible, so thin and scratched just by blowing on it.

Replaced it with my yaris sr in metallic decuma grey and is much better quality

Paint on my chilli red is rubbish too!

Please correct me if I am wrong, but I thought that the paint used these days is water based.

If that is so then is is not going to be as hard wearing.
