Max power means s*d all mate.

When it comes to Amps and Speakers, you should be looking at RMS values.

You need to match the RMS of your amp to your Speakers..

Oh and in answer to your question, your speaker max power DOES not give you the power of the system...

If you have a 1000W sub driven by a 100W amp, then the power of your system is 100W!!!!

your never gonna have a speaker at that amount of rms tho!

and as fidge says your amps determine the max ouptut not the Speakers

you cant overload a power cap............they sit in the main pwer cables and have nothing to do with output
