Parts For Carina Gti

Hi. im a newbie to the toyota forum and to toyota cars as general. i've recently bought a carina gti which does require abit of tlc. i am in two minds of selling it but would like to fix it up and keep. the clutch is pretty much out which is why i dont yet know how quick they are. i took the car to the mechanic and he told me that the car needs rear shocks and discs all way round. i am on a budget since being made redundant a little while back. my main question is what shocks would fit in from the local scrap yard and also discs. i have been told that the carina E cdx rear shocks could fit onto my 93 carina gti. cheers in advance. p.s how much are these carina gti's worth in good nik. if someone can help i would appreciate it alot!

Hi mate,

the front shocks especially are different than the other models even from the carina 2lts and would have to be sourced from motor factors speclising in parts from japan which is not impossible. if you bought the car very cheap it is worth doing up fast with a bulit proof engine!
