Echo/yaris Exhausts

G'Day all from Sunny Australia.

I'm the proud owner of a 2 door 1.3L Toyota Echo/Yaris and I notice a lot of talk about the Exhausts systems, I'd like to ask a couple of Questions if I may,

1. The Blitz Nur Spec Exhaust, Is it very loud? I'd like a better exhaust note than the OEM/Factory Exhaust (Which has no note!) But I do a lot of Highway driving and I don't want a Droning Exhaust noise at highway speed.

OR maybe the HKS item?

2. How do they attach? Are they bolt on?

I had a quick look under my car and there are only welded joins, No bolted joins, Is this normal?

I assume this means I'll have to get an Exhaust shop to fit it?

Any help you can offer will be fantastic, There is no real contact here in Australia for Echo/Yaris help, And I'm going  Trying to get any info from anyone.

Thanks

hi mate and welcome

install looks pretty trick!

as far as i know the blitz zorst is pretty well behaved on the noise front the best guy to ask is jerry phipps

the exhaust only bolts onto the manifold and then you have a very long centre section to which the back box then clamps to just before the rear beam axle

Hi SpankysEcho

Welcome to the club matey  As jaxx said before yes i do have a blitz nur spec exhaust. The exhaust is a well balanced exhaust. Nice sensible sound not to loud. But once the exhaust is warm say 10 minutes driving and under load it really turns into a beast a nice sporty sound

You'll get a nice roar if you are pushing along hard. But once you back off the accelerator it returns to a nice purr :D

See pic's below

:D Thanks heaps!

I have just placed my order where I work here in Australia,

In fact the warehouse that we order through is one of only 2 importers in the country for Blitz, Ours has never had one and neither has the other, So it looks like I'm the 1st in Australia with one, How nuts is that!!!

6 weeks and counting.

You like the install eh? Lot of work in there, Many a late night, Took the best part of 6 weeks part time to finish it.

The Viper Car alarm/Boot release/Tilt sensor/central locking took me a week to fit.

Still, It was a labour of love.

Actually it refers to my overcomplicated home-made ignition system, which ties in with a with a crank-driven supercharger on a clutch. Engage the supercharger (with the red-pull swith under the gear lever) and the ignition system (programmed on my IPAQ) will !Removed! the spark to avoid meltdown. Hence SuperRetard.

Or, I can't remember.

Tell the truth, I used to race Super Moto (like motocrossers, but with 17" radial slicks). The french (the main proponents of this form of racing) called the pilots Super Motards. I changed it a little to SuperRetard. It's been my forum name for about 3 years now...
