From what i know i would say its an engine swap with the loom and ecu components prob the g, box aswell, the engines will be a bit different i think due to the higher stress on bearings and crank,

dont suppose you wanna sell me the side skirts off the damaged one do you?? also maybe the strut brace from behind the rear seats,

It's the same engine..... you will need the ECU tho!

And if there's any bits going i could do with a new gearknob!

Posted

its a shame it was back end damage because those bumpers are mint

Posted

what colour is it cause i need a drivers wing in the dark grey Alsace colour??

Sorry, I have no idea about the charger,

But let me know the colour as im only down the road from you and my need a few bits.

:-)

this is a list i got from tte about the kit and what comes with it, if you can make it out.

i think the main things would be

ecu

charger

intake

injectors

mounting bracket

possibly the throttle body as am sure its different

then you would need new gaskets, ac belt ect.

you would be better just buying the complete engine and the ecu and swapping it over.

hello there i have got my self hands on a wrote of corolla copressor witch has all back damage so i am thinking about takeing the super charger off that car and fitting it to my corola , firstly i wanted to know is my 2zz engine the same as the compressor engine just with out the charger , and can i just take charger off and fit it or do i need the compresser ecu and some of the wireing just trying to get me head around it beforei take parts of the car thankyou for your imput frainy

Yes, the compressor engine is the same as the Tsport engine. U will need to use the compressor ECU bcos the supercharger has a clutch engaged pulley which is controlled by the ecu. The only way of using the compressor with the standard Tsport ECU is to get a solid pulley, SP will hav some in stock, but im not too sure if u will also need the intercooler upgrade aswell, bcos the solid pulley is a smaller pulley than the standard compressor pulley, which means itll giv the car more boost and not too sure if the car wud over heat without the intercooler.

Hello there, I have a complete TTE 2ZZ SC kit for sale on eBay right now. My company was a contractor to TTE back in the day and we sold a large number of these kits in Canada and USA for Lotus and Celica applications. I have now retried and sold my Company RCTS Canada R&D Inc.

https://www.ebay.ca/itm/226292008386

Note the overflow water bottle pictured is not in this last kit we had in old inventory. Also PCM for TME Corolla is not included as it was not compatible with the applications we were planning to sell these kits. As we were a contractor to TTE and an authorized Pro dealer for Canada we could custom order them back then. Note of interest RCTS was also the oldest North American HKS Japan Pro Dealer. In the lotus pictured it was twin charged, supercharged with the TTE kit and a custom RCTS / HKS turbo system. On this car we used the HKS F-Con Vpro 3.4E PCM.

Back in the day, Toyota was really in the go go mode. F1, Pro Rally , custom projects of all kinds, I was an honor to work for TTE back in these good old days. Anyway, a few pictures of back then and some of my Race Supra JZA-80.

All the best, Reg Riemer
