Notebook... as you look at the engine bay from the front of the RAV. the black air box is on the right... ontop of this is a small square box, about the size of a packet of !Removed!.... this is the MAF.... disconnect the leads and carefully remove this then use carb cleaner to clean the parts....

I think anchorman and ancorwoman are in America again.... so he's topping up his car parts and she is topping up the tan.....

Notebook... as you look at the engine bay from the front of the RAV. the black air box is on the right... ontop of this is a small square box, about the size of a packet of !Removed!.... this is the MAF.... disconnect the leads and carefully remove this then use carb cleaner to clean the parts....

mine is petrol - I think your talking about a diesel?

Arrrrr that will be a bugger then.... Where is the air box in your car.. as the big pipe on that has the MAF attached to it.....

Take a picture of your engine bay... or maybe another member will advise...... and post it here....

If you decide to change the petrol RAV for Diesel one... then we could have helped you out 4 or 5 post up.... :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

i know it's an old post but,

big thanks for the picture as i had to clean the maf sensor too :yawn:

'typical' place to have it installed isn't it? very hard to get both screws out due lack of space :(
