Tein do a set of their Super Street coilovers. They are a special order from Japan and available from your nearest stockist. I was quoted £840+ vat, with delivery just before Christmas.

40mm lowering springs seem just a bit too low for the UK?

Anyone seen or have details of the Toyota ones?

Just found them:

www.tte.de

25mm lowering Toyota parts 4 springs # P2 494-IO 721-00

No price though! Worth a call to a UK dealer?

Wife says she thinks the iQ corners like her old Yaris. Improvement needed!

Best of all, the springs are developed to match the stock dampers and are TUV approved also.

For a good price on the TTE springs, send a PM or post parts-king. He can be found in the sponsors section of the forum main page (3/4 down).

The Toyota stuff is quite pricy, but he was offering a good deal on Aygo springs a while back.

Muskiteer have also just released some lowering springs. These are tuv approved and lower the car by around 30mm. They have them for sale on their eBay shop for around £150, try doing a worldwide search. They have few IQ items available, with more in development.

Koni are soon to develop some sports dampers, similar to the ones they produced for the Aygo. These are due for release in the spring.

Lots of the Japanese tuning companies are jumping on the IQ bandwagon, as it is a major success over their. It will just take time for the parts to be come available in the UK.

Sounds good.

The wife drives the iQ really not me, but the Yaris would roll a lot, but I want to keep the ride quality too.

25mm sounds about right without fear of hitting anything (sleeping policemen etc) where 40mm is too much.

Also, when I raced my Impreza, the Jap stuff was so harsh to be crazy on UK surface roads. Lower = stiffer in most cases, so I'm warey of the side effect.

A car can be much faster A to B with the right suspension.
