After-market Satnav

Without resorting to the gigantic TNS510 unit (and breaking the bank), what after-market satnavs seem to work with the iQ?

Our TomTom 740 seems to blend in ok - mounted it on the surface to the right of the status display (above the CD slot).

Some nasty 'wobbles' though...

how much is the tns510 unit?

It's a £930 option when initially specifying your new car order.

Post ownership you'd have to pay for fitting as well, so a sizeable chunk on top.

Personally I don't really like it, since I'd rather not have what looks like a microwave sitting on my dashboard!

It does more than SatNav though, i.e. radio, mp3 etc, and another thing would be to get the reversing camera as well - that would be cool.

I use CoPilot on my phone for satnav, attach it to an air vent with a clip. Simple and portable.

Bit of a long stretch to the 12V Power Socket?

Used a TomTom the other day in mine, i also put it on the bottom right of the windscreen, just plug the power lead in the 12v socket, then it goes up and round the cd player section, didnt get in the way at all.

I've clipped my cable down the side of the dash and along underneath. I can't stand dangly wires. :)

Be careful not to clip 'em over the airbag zones though. ;)
