2007 Toyota Avalon Driver-side Rear Tail-light Assembly

Hello!

I am having a problem removing the driver-side rear tail-light assembly for replacement. I have removed the three nuts on the protruding stems, pushed through the plastic rivet on the side, disconnected the wire and removed the two screws to the attached bracket from underneath the car. There does not seem to be any other connectors when I examine the replacement part. Yet, I can not seem to get the assembly to pop out, and I did not want to use excessive force.

Is there a special way to remove the tail light assembly?

This is the UK forum, unfortunately we don't get the Avalon and only ever got a handful of Camry's so it's unlikely you'll get a useful response.
