Odd Knock Everytime Brake Is Applied

hi all,

ive got an Avensis '03 T3-X auto. recently i noticed that everytime i hit the break, gently or not, a strange single knock can be hear and felt - i fond this odd and wanted your thoughts. is it something known on similar models? car has just been fully serviced, new pads all round. any thoughts? cheers

Can you identify where it is coming from? What corner of the car?

Take the wheel/s off and see if anything is loose.... if so take it back to the garage and rip hell out of the mechanic and/or service manager :censor:

As above, take it back to whoever did the job and get them to sort it. Shouldnt mess about with something as important as brakes.

Could be a no. of things causing it. Let us know how you get on.

Do you get the same knock if you touch the brakes after traveling backwards? Were genuine parts fitted?

hi all, thanks for the replies (and support)

seems as though noise is located around the front and only happens when travelling forwards not reverse. ill book a check at Mr T's and see what he has to say.
