just wondered if floor mats came as standard in the t spirit ? i have just ordered a black one delivery mid jan 2010 !!

also those who have a t spirit do you use the reverse auto parking feature or is it a bit of a gimic ?

another question if you do a sales reps job and use the motorways often what mileage are you getting ?

sorry to ba pain but finally i'm looking at getting a new smartphone, however which ones fully integrate with the t spirit ? iPhone, plam, blackberry ?

mats are not supplied as standard with any model. My salesman 'offered' them to me for £75 but I declined. Aparantly they are around £50 'over the spares counter'

Way back in time, the last time i bought a Toyota they were free, plus you got a FULL tank of fuel. This time, i too was offered mats for 75 quid and declined. I bought them over the spares counter for 50odd quid + vat. Basically it looks smarter with the right mats. But i think 20grand cars should come with mats...period. I think Toyota dealers are ****** people off over nit picky things. Having said that, theyre no different to other manufacturers, i know theyre all at it. Maybe its the thin end of the wedge, and in a few years, it wont come with tyres, or an air filter, or bulbs

Maybe its because i pushed them pretty hard on the price in the first place, but i just think its poor customer service not to offer these items as standard. I gave them that feedback.

they do not seem to want give you anything these days, I can remember when you got a tankfull of petrol, when we got our Spirit 2 weeks ago, the tank was almost empty, the salesperson said they had put £10 worth pf petrol in it, when I got the invoice the £10 was on there. oh, and the mats were £60.

when we got the Merc, they even put a large bunch of flowers on the back seat for my other half.

one more thing, the dealer tried to flog me some Gap insurance, which I admit I had never heard of, they wanted £300 for £10000 cover for 3 years, I said i would think about it, when we got home i went online to check, I got 4 quotes the dearest for the same cover was £142..................and it still looked like a waste of money..

at the dealer where i work we Do put £10 of fuel in but the only problem is that when they are delivered off the transporter they only have a bit of fuel in,

then they are moved round the back to await pdi,

then moved into the workshop pdi'd and any accessories fitted,

then taken round to the valet bay for washing and cleaning,

parked up ready for delivery,

moved round the front ready for the customer to collect on handover.

GUESS when they are fuelled up???

not at the end of the process before delivery as you would hope,

but after the technician has done the pdi, he then fuels it up by driving 1/4 of a mile to the fuel station and 1/2 a mile back (one way system).

so by the time you get you very precious £10 of fuel a 1/3 of it has gone!!!

Yep, the bunch of flowers on the back seat pricked my memory. I remember buying a new Subaru around 2000, and was given a large bottle of champagne.. plus it had a half a tank of fuel and mats!!! B)

With regard to mileage - I do a lot of up and down motorway driving and am pretty lead footed (being a company car with a fuel card doesn't help make me drive economically!). I've done nearly 800 miles in it in 2 weeks and am averaging 50.5mpg (T3).

Hey you should get one of those fuelly things like a few of us on here have. It's quite interesting, easy to use and can be converted to UK gallons and costs. You can even add it to your signature if you want to
