I think it should. I bought something similar on eBay a while back for my 53 plate d4d - mine needs a laptop, but the connector looks the same and OBD II is what you need (if my memory serves me right). Under the dash to the right of the drivers seat is the spot.

It will work with your car.

Infact it will work with any car after 1996, as all vehicles since then have the OBD2 II port if memory serves.

Should be just fine, just be wary that all diesels should be compliant from 2004 onwards (your's being a 03 car) but most manufacturers are compliant pre 2004. May just be worth posing seller question. I have a cheepy one floating around in the boot of car that talks to nearly all cars. And a pricey one that is the same with the exception that it will not talk to any Vauxhall for some reason.
