my latest is an i5 750 on an MSI P55-GD80, 4GB DDR3-1600 , Win7 64-bit

I build my own.

Don't know about that 4870x2, wouldn't you be better with a 5870 esp as it gives you DX11 for future compatibility?

& if you get Vista make sure that you get the free upgrade to Win7 voucher that MS are doing atm to encourage Vista sales before Win7 hits the shops.

Very nice package you got there :P

And would have to agree about Windows 7, I've been running 32-bit and 64-bit editions on my PC's, and it is exactly what Vista should've been in the first place. Even runs well on my Acer Aspire one netbook :D

Sweeeet.

I built a similar spec machine about 18 months ago (with older bits obviosuly) 3870 x2 phenom x4 2600 and 4gb Corsair dominator (1200???) ram Asus mobo.. and it is still fast today, runs any new game I have thrown at it at max no sweat.

Vista 64 seems ok on it... although It's not been reformatted since I built it, it's long overdue! Fallout 3 crashes loads though :(

Damn thats nice!

I went for the 32 bit pre-order windows 7 because some programs arent compatible with 64 bit which sucks.

PC on order now and will take month to be built and delivered!

Month? Ouch...

My PC consists of this... Seen as this was my last Overclcokers order.

Could do with updating shortly with the decreases in X10 prices due to DX11. I run most my games on Very high / Ultra with over 60fps. Though some still spank it.

AMD Phenom X4 Quad Core 9950 2.60GHz Black Edition (Socket AM2) - Retail £129.99

Asus M3N-HT Deluxe HDMI nForce 780a SLi (Socket AM2) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard £124.99

EVGA GeForce 9800 GTX+ "Superclocked" 512MB GDDR3 TV-Out/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail (512-P3-E884-AR) £124.99

Corsair XMS2 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2 PC2-6400C5 TwinX Dual Channel (TWIN2X4096-6400C5) £36.99

Planned to SLI at first. but Now I'll just wait for a better single unit.

Nice, mines SLI already, and my GPU costs me £350!!! Made me cry....

You got serious kit, I won't be clocking but have decent CPU cooler so has potential.....

Correction, yours is a sinlge card with two processors ;)

ATI Cards use Crossfire not SLI :D

I only bought that setup as it was fine for what I wanted and I had a small bonus from work. It stillruns most games at max settings with ease.

haha, sorry, I'm still a noob to this stuff so you'll have to bare with me.

Can't wait, black glass desk with chrome pillars is on order with leather managers chair, will be delivered tomorrow.

Davis has told me that I need to make sure that when I die on COD MW2, I don't get ****** off and punch the desk. Tough Fist + Glass Desk=No testicles when mum finds out......

The Ati cards do show as two seperate devices under the device manger though :P

I must admit I was worried abou Vista 64 compatibility. I've not had any problems. only old games.

Sim City 4 doesn't run properly though - I think that's a graphics driver issue.

Windows 7 is the dogs danglies.... even on my year-old Johnny 5, 64-bit 7 works a treat... it's so smooth and fast and poops all over Vista.

Just needs moar RAMS now! 4GB is not enough!

Are you sure that's a PC and not some alien spacecraft that's invaded your home? Looks sweet though mate.... Johnny 5 pales in comparison, bless his aluminum socks! :D
