Engine Making More Noise

Hi,

First of all thanks to chillyjeff for your help, Mr T finally changed my steering rack after 3 visits and now the knocking has gone.

The only problem is the engine now seems to make much more noise, (only audible in the cabin, with the window open it still sounds the same) I know it has been discussed here a number of times and the RAV engine isn't known for its refinement but, I am wondering whether Mr T has left off some insulation or some sound proving when changing the rack ?

I have looked in the footwell and can't see any obvious omissions, where something might be missing.

I have only had the car for about 4 months and have been back under warranty to Toyota to sort out numerous issues a number of times, my worry is that they will probably think I am suffering from some attention seeking condition if I return with this one !

Has anybody any ideas

their is a boot that goes round the steering shaft that is on the bulkhead this might not be clip'd in correctly take it back and tell them thats what you suspect and they'll fix it!! :D
