Fuel Tank Anomaly

Recommended Posts

Just clocked up 5K miles in the G3, but seem not to be able to be fill up the tank with no more than 37 litres of fuel. I am running the car to miles left in the tank, and have run down to less than 4 miles on numerous occassions. has anybody else seen this or an explanation. The tank should hold 45 litres. :(

Same experience but got 37.5 just after the "add fuel" beep! Guess they are playing safe!

My first fill; had the beep and drove further 15miles and I think it was showing some 15 more mile to go till empty.

Fill 37.39 litres (have the receipt handy on the table ;) )

  • 3 months later...

Tank is definitely 45 Liters.

I had to have mine drained due to missfiring ICE, blamed on bad fuel.

10 Liters put in from fuel can and then 35.9 liters 5 miles later at the petrol station.

More would have gone in, but did not want to overfill.
