Is A Noisy Clutch A Problem?

Hi everyone,

I have an 03 avensis 1.8vvti petrol which has the old creaky clutch problem..

It isnt here all the time, but certainly most of it, and it is occassionally pretty loud.

I have taken it to Toyota twice and (sods law) on those days it wasnt make a sound!

My question is, is this actually a problem in that it could wear the clutch unduly, or is it just noisy?

the bite point is okay, about two inches from the floor and there is no drag at all when in neutral.

Cheers
