My gt4 caught fire on sat nite just in front of the altenator some wires and stuff infront of it burnt anyone any ideas wat mite of caused it til catch fire

was it the alternator itself that caught fire, possibly an overheating bearing, or it could be a bad earth. Where in Northern Ireland are you, if your near Derry, McCauleys on the Duncreggan Road are very good auto electricians, they'll be able to diagnose and sort your problems.
