350 is usually the standard limit on oem internals, however there are people running 400bhp on oem internals because of good cooling mods. 300bhp is easy for this car and will run at 300 happily all day. Its all down to how you drive and how you take car of your car. Oil change every 3000-5000 miles, use good oil like millers or Opie, good servicing, keep an eye on everything and dont thrash it every second you drive it. Blocks crack, rings blow etc even at running 255bhp which is the stand horse power.

One way to protect against rings and that going is keeping temperatures down. Adding an oil thermostat to open at 80 degrees i think it is and adding an additional oil cooler is definitely a certain on this car as it explains on the gtfour website that people have experienced high oil temps on normal road use. Bigger radiator even though the standard one is fine, aftermarket coolant thermostat with lower opening temperature, some top notch coolant (ask dawesy for the stuff he uses), front mount intercooler, cold air box with a good cold air feed, take the engine cover off the bonnet, add a header tank and swirl pot to the coolant system but be careful as you could cool the coolant too much and cause problems so a water temp gauge is a must, disconnect the coolant hoses to the throttle body, install water injection, install a spray bar for the front mount intercooler. Thats all i can think of and those last 2 you probaby wouldn't need plus they are a bit pricey and i'd imagine you would need an aftermarket ecu to control them but they are worth it once the horses begin to rise, but things vary, might have the same engine as me but you could take mine to 500bhp and it will not blow, could take yours to 300 and it may go boom but its highly doubtful. 300bhp for you will be no problem just get some good cooling mods on your car to safeguard its life and you will be laughing all the way home. Definitely doing the right thing researching it, usually i put a mod on my car then read the downside of it ha.

I'm sure you could even lighten the car a bit like removing the air con and putting less stress on the engine as it won't have to haul so much around. Not sure if this will make much of a difference but just a guess, who knows.

be careful if you are cranking the boost up to 1.1bar and have suporting mods like decat as this tends to introduce boost creep. thats how i blew my engine!

But if u get a 2.5" downpipe they don't tend to creep its the 3"' that usually creep.

Yeh most stuff is 3" but there are 2.5" downpipes out there. If you get a downpipe remember to wrap it in exhaust wrap to help the flow. Take a look at what? www.fensport.com do a 71degree thermostat i think it is, TRD i think. I'll find you some stuff to look at and you can see what i mean.

470 quid for a radiator, i wouldn't even bother unless you are filthy rich this is the one i used

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/TOYOTA-CELICA-RADIAT...=item45eea0a011

Fits straight in yes its a cheaper radiator and i cant give u much feed back coz i didnt have a water temp gauge but it cooled the car down quick when u left it standing for 10 mins or so.

No that is a new one and that thermostat you can get at www.fensport.com. Problem with nengun is its in japan and will probably need to add another 100quid to the price of that rad on there for postage. Shall i list you some sites i use for parts and info?

That rad works well for me, rad cap is a bit crap but if it messes up you can always get one made up for u.

Yeh bottom and sides, i think its called lagging the charge cooler. It reflects heat and will shave a few degrees off temperatures and help the air going into your engine to be cooler.
