Car Seems To Accelerate By Itself

What can I say? I am in shock that my silly little Aygo (plus the others who have suffered) have got such media attention!!!

I guess it is right to assume the problem I had with my car is what is Toyota is now recalling over.

I believe the failed part in my car was actually just replaced with another "dodgy" part so I guess I have the hassle of getting done AGAIN with the new safe part!!!

ARGH!

Mine too! I intend to ask for the £226 cost of the second (possibly dodgy) accelerator assembly to be returned. What makes me angry is that Toyota denied that this had ever happened to anyone else - and this was only the week before Christmas!!

We know thats total bull***** that it was a unique problem, however, was that Toyota itself or the dealership? From all this mess, I've been keen to separate the franchises out from Toyota GB as they only know what the people at the top are telling them.

I'd definitely suggest you write to Toyota GB and put your issue in writng and see how they go from there. At the very least, you should morally, get your money back.
