Underseat Storage Tray

Took delivery of a new Auris TR on Monday. The underseat storage tray for the passenger seat is no longer part of the spec. Anyone know how easy a tray would be to fit - eg does it slide on part of the seat frame or do slides need to be bought?

Hi,

I have one on my SR180 and to be honest I find is a waste of time, its a cheap and nasty, not easy to pull out / push in affair, (just my opinion).

How is it put together?, sorry cannot help on that one.

Best of luck.

Paul

Totally agree, they are as much use as an ash tray on a motor bike.

I can honestly say I've never used in the last 9 months of having the car, its just pointless.

Totally agree, Toyota would have been better off putting the £10 it must have cost them into a better cig charger housing.

Best wishes

Na I like having to hold down the plastic around it whilst taking chargers out of it!

Am I the only one who finds it usefull to store the owners manual, service book and locking wheel nut key, freeing the small glovebox for more important items , ( parking tickets, chocolate wrappers, 4 old phone chargers, 1 glove and a non working pen...for example...)

considering the limited space to put stuff in this car, I am desperate to maximise usage of all the areas available...

The underseat tray is fiddly because it must not fly open in the event of a collision, hence the need to lift and pull as opposed to just pulling open.

As to how it is assembled I don't know, but I'll have a good look when i get time...

Hi Aurissimo, I take your point, but for me my wife has a handbag for the items described, but stand by my view re the tray.

Best wishes
