Avensis Cdx

I've juss bought a 51 Avensis cdx but the CD player isint working. The Sat Nav, FM Radio and Tape are all working but the CD is not. I have noticed that the CD changer doesent have the CD storage iterm inside. Dont know if this could be the problem.

If it does not have the cassette inside the changer it will not work. But I thought that that model had also a single slot cd player also? If so does that work?? If not then it has nothing to do with the changer.

You will need to get either a replacement single slot cd or buy an aftermarked system instead. f oyu opt for te aftermarket unit, you will need to buy the toyota harness to adapt it & also an Avensis surround adaptor so the unit will fit & look neat. If you want to use the stearing audio switches for mute, loudness etc, you will need to buy a unit that can use the remote facilities, EG Some Sony, Panasonic, Pioneer, Kenwood etc.

Thanx for the responce. It has the single CD slot at the back with the shuttle both together but all it does is take in the CD but wont play it. I have tried different CDs but they all didnt work. If i insert the SAT NAV CD it work and everything but music CDs are not playing. I thot it was the CD/Tape function on the dashboard bt that is working when im playing taps so i think it might be the cassette thing that you've mentioned. I dont know if these shuttles for avenisis's within that range are all the same. Would look for one but if not then i wil have to go with your suggestion.
