Refrigerated Glove Box?

My Brother was telling me the other day, that when we went to see the Prius at the Trafford Centre in the summer, the salesperson told him the upper glove box was refrigerated. Now I've gone through the brochure, and this forum, and no mention of it anywhere

Was She lying? My Father is kinda expecting there to be one in His T spirit when i'ts delivered :o

Do not think it is refrigerated as such..............maybe just ventilated with a selectable cool airflow from the airconditioning blown through it like so many modern cars

Would be a bit of a bonus if it was refrigerated...................You could carry your own ice cubes! ;)

Must admit, I've never actually heard of that, maybe that is what She was alluding to. Would it not be on the 2nd gen prius anyway though? Not noticed it on His 2nd gen.

It has only become more common on mid range cars in the last few years..(Nissan Note has it)...............It had previously only been the normal on the more "presdigious" marques............Like MB

Its so easy though to take a tap of the aircon system.

I used to have a VW Passat that a chilled air-vent into the glovebox - As per earler comments, I presume this is what was being alluded to.....

I had a look in both halves of the glovebox in my Gen3 Prius T-Spirit - no sign of any cooling vents, so Dave5118 I guess your family are going to be disappointed

Ahhh, right, cheers Dave, at least He'll know before He gets the car now. ;)
