Thanks Les,

I guess its obvious I dont know what I'm doin. check for Voltage drop????uuuggghhh.....that kinda sounds like what the manual was telling me to do.I think this one is going to have to be fixed someday by my trusty $80 an hour mechenic. For now my wifey is going to just have to keep taking me to work (she's ******).I guess I'll just follow the wires and wiggle them and make sure they are tight.

Mike

I'm wondering what's left of the Battery. When Alts go often they have not been pushing the power they should have been for a few weeks. Leading to a weak Battery.

If you can pull the one out of your wifes car and try to start yours. If there is no change them I'm wrong. If there is you just saved paying someone 80 plus dollers. Batteries are easy to swap just watch the plus and minus signs on the battery's to make sure you rehook them correctly.

22RE should have a charge light fuse and relay - check that first.

Never disconnect the Battery while the motor is running - it can fry the regulator pack.

Starting from the Battery, check the following :-

1.0 Y Fusible Link.

IGN 7.5a Fuse

CHARGE 7.5a Fuse

ENGINE 15a Fuse

They are all part of the Charging system Protection.

You may have blown the Zenner Diode on Fused side of the Charge Warning Light if all the fuses check out ok and the system is charging.
