I search info for this product made in UK:

http://www.team-zx1.com/What-is-ZX1

You know?

I use in my Toyota Aygo.

The Italian importer says contain Fullerene C60 & C75..it's true??

I did much research on the internet but I had no evidence..

I only find that contain "Modified Hydrocarbons with EP additives"..but no trace of Fullerene :(

Email the company and ask to see the U.K Atomic Energy Authority report.

How on earth they can get this stuff to bond with metal surfaces beats me. Better still how does it know what surfaces not to bond with once inside the engine as obviously there would be areas were this would not be beneficial.

Sounds a bit like "Snake Oil" to me:)

The company replied that the formula is secret .. :D

.. I have done several searches on Google in many countries (France, Germany, United Kingdom, America, etc..) and only in Italy this product is very famous and only here those who market the product says it contains Fullerene.

I think it is not true and that product instead of fullerene there are simple chloroparaffins.

P.s. What is "UK Atomic Energy Authority report"?? Is required for all products made in UK?

Try a google search for "fullerene" a chemical term for pure carbon molecule similar to some types of graphite. See attached link - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fullerene

If indeed this so-called wonder additive does contain such then I wouldn't be adding it to my engine or gearbox.

The UK Atomic Energy Authority is a company that deals with nuclear waste and installations and I wonder why such an organisation would carry out a study on such a product unless they used its carbon cntent as a radioactive shielding agent.

Have you tries emailing the sellers of this product for a copy of the report by the UK Atomic Energy Authority.

Sounds too good to be true in my opinion.

I would advise only using the recommended lubricants and changing them often.:)

Excellent advice!! And maybe a flush-engine every 2 oil changes and use Fully Synthetic motor oil (with PAO-base like Mobil 1) ;)

I prefer not to use expensive so-called top of the range engine oil. I use a medium priced oil that meets the required specification and then I can afford to change it more often. What many people fail to realise is that oil becomes contaminated with chemicals from the combustion process and no oil filter or expensive oil can overcome that problem on their own. Clean oil doesn't mean it isn't contaminated.

I use Fuchs oils and my local motor parts supllier gives me a good discount so I change my oil and filter every 5,000 miles or every 6 months which ever comes first. In my opinion there is no point in changing the oil without changing the filter because the new oil tends to flush any trapped particles out of the filter back into the engine.:)

I never use flushing agents as I feel they can be quite agressive and usually contain an acid which isn't good for some internal components especially the valve stem oil seals and turbo seals if fitted.:)
