1996 Hiace Power Van Wont Start

Hi Guys

I bought a Hiace Van a few weeks ago and the previous owner told me that he was having trouble starting after having a new fuel pump fitted .

I took it to a local garage and they started talking silly money to fix it around £2500. I have had a quote from Essex Engines for £900 to fit a complete new engine but I was wondering if there was anything else I can do.

The compression is fine , The electrical system is fine. there is fuel in the tank, The fuel Cut solenoid is working but I cant get fuel to the injectors.

Any ideas.
