Most Fuel Efficient 4x4?

I was wondering what 4x4 gets the best MPG out of all of them.

This is 4x4's like Land Rover's, RAV4, Terios. etc.

It can be Petrol or Diesel (Probs diesel).

I'm not expecting blistering fuel efficiency like my Aygo but 30+ is good. (Using the Terios as an example)

I'm also interested in low road tax and insurance as well. Sort of mirroring my Aygo, but a 4x4 instead.

Back in late August, I did a 440 mile run from home to Poole ferry terminal. Did not go much over 65 MPH

plus it was bank holiday weekend, so a lot of slow traffic / hold ups. On board computer was showing 56 MPG

at arrival at Poole. (deduct approx 5% for accuracy). Normally in mixed driving expect 40-45 MPG if you manage

to behave yourself

Should add, mines 2.2 litre diesel Rav .
