Full Leather/half Leather Factory Fitted?

Does anyone know if the leather, full or half, is factory fitter or dealer fitted?

It's dealer fitted. I think they have some specialist guys come round to the dealer network to do it.

Really happy with the leather in my IQ, glad I chose it - makes the interior a nice place to be, and looks a lot classier than the standard cloth.

Factory fitted including the heated seats.

Actually, I think both are available. Initially I was told that there would be a long delay for factory leather and that, (in UK), there was a high quality option for dealership fitted leather at the same price. When I checked it out on the company's website (called Transcal), we decided that we weren't so keen on their rather patchwork design relative to the factory option. Also the colour swatch we were shown, which was supposed to be 'Plum', was in fact a bit purply, compared to the factory leather which complements the interior brown.

To see the factory leather, go to eBay and look at some of the iQ's on offer from the dealers!

When we contacted the dealer to request the factory leather, surprise surprise, it wouldn't take any longer after all! (I guess there is more money for them in the dealer fitted).

I chose half leather since I was told getting full leather would push back the deliveray date well into spring 2010.

It seems like half leather is not available to you guys in the UK?

In Sweden heated front seats are standard on IQ1, but having said that you have to remember we live among ice bears :)

Thier works well and quickly. i have it on a half leather seats. the leather stays cold so it's like half the butt warm, half cold LOL. but very nice to feel warm when you turn it on.

it's not awful it's just like warm in the center and cold on sides...

I think the heat is awsome.....very comfortabel and not too hot.....just great end enjoy it very much.
