Here's a how to of removing the front bumper, not really much more to add other than the following things are what you will need:

1. 10mm socket

2. 10mm spanner

3. flat head screwdriver

4. philips head screwdriver

1. First thing to do is to remove the bolts on the side by the wheel arch, 10mm socket for these. do the same on the other side

2. Then working underneath the car, remove the bottom plastic trims (lip).

6. Then working from the wheel arch pull the bumper away from the body

7. If installing the HIDs then remove the lights, by taking the two screws out

8. In order to get the HID's through the rubber sleeve and maintain a seal I had to stretch the boot

9. Here's how I mounted the ballast. this was a HIDS4u kit, which to date I can recommend, the loom is a doddle to fit.

Nice post as normal bulbs are tummy rubbish! Can I ask, though... Did you NEED to remove the lights.. Surely you could have done the job through the engine bay, unplugging the orig bulbs and fitting in the same way you describe? Or were you just listing a "How to" in general?

you could do it if you had some really small hands, the other issue is if you get stopped by the cops, you might want a "stealth" install.
