Hello All,

has anyone removed the wing mirror from their Auris? The bit I am interested in is the power cable that goes inside the door. How do I unplug it? Do I need to remove door plastic cover? Any advice appreciated.

thx

yes, you have to remove the door cover (if you don't know how, ask here); after removal you can find the connector

no need to check; it's very simple

take a flat screwdriver and wrap it's tip in some insulation tape

then take out the small cover behind the handle

remove the grey cover of handle

undo those 3 bolts you can see

remove the panel starting from the bottom

undo the cables

then all the connectors and what you need

Thanks man. I owe you a pint already :)

to remove the panel can I just pull it slightly or do I need to lever up the plastic pins to release them?

first time you pull the cover out starting from the bottom and arround the cover (all the points marked with triangles), then you lift it up (it's hung up on the top)

good luck
