2003 Corolla Faded Door Handles

I purchased a 2003 Corolla (my second Corolla) in April of 2002. Since then I have had numerous little problems that were subsequently covered under the bumper to bumper warranty. I am about 1500 miles over the warranty limit and just noticed that the paint on my exterior door handles is fading. When sunlight shines on the door handles, what looks like weater spots are readily apparent. Closer inspection shows the spots to be beneath the clearcoat. Has anyone else seen this on their own Corollas?

that is a new one to me,

are you sure that it is under the clear coat, if so you are a bit stuffed

but if not a little rubbing compound will do the job
