hi mate

in order to accelerate the car that is weighty -- you press your gas pedal, but two problems brake your acceleration:

- EGR valve ;

- injection quality.

I do not conside another problems now

Just have the above twos tested first.

Cheers/Igor

What litre is the car. Do you use high octane Shell fuel such as VPower/optimax. If so you have to reset the ECU when the tank is full with that.

Hi

I was having similar problems with my '02 d4d. I'd pull away from a roundabout or whatever & there was sudden power loss.

This may sound too simple, obvious etc, but before you go paying out for anything, take out your air filter and make sure it's clean and free of Mother Nature's crud.

I say try this first because, in order to find a cure for my problem, I first had a new MAF sensor, then a modified fuel injection pump valve replaced, all at no little expense & was still getting jumps and hesitations a while after. All pretty depressing.

I have a K&N panel air filter in mine & was having a look at it, & it was full of bugs and crap. I twisted it a bit and shook it clear, replaced, and not a single hiccup since.
