Gen7 - Oh Yea!

Wish I hadn't found this in a way! I love Gen7's, what do you think:

What am I missing? Would the insurance gonna be really silly as it's an import? I take it it's the 190 model?

I want one!!! Price seems good.... what would be the pitfalls in getting something like this? B)

From what I've found insurance looks like about £1000-£1500 (under 25, 2/3ncb, yada yada yada).

Group 16 odd for the standard 190, litttle more for an import, guessing they're quick, anyone got the stats out of interest?

Here are some stats Si for 190:

Power: 189bhp/7800rpm

Torque: 133lb ft/6800rpm

0-60: 7.4secs

Max speed: 140mph

Those stats were taken from What Car and it was the T-Sport model here. The import model with bodykit surely looks nice but unfortunately i don't know about the pitfalls, maybe someone else can help :(

What do you get with the lux pack? Keep in mind the mods already done to the one above also? Looks lowered to me & the wheels & kit.

Didn't the Jap and US VVTL-i Celica's only have 180bhp ? Although they actually may be faster than the UK 189bhp versions, not sure.

Full leather climat control instead of air con and even a leccy sunroof for full pack. i think they do a sport pack aswell and a premium pack (dont ask) heh mines not a lux pack, but its still well specced

He's a similar model to mine with a cold air intake, light flywheel and uprated clutch.

It goes like hell for a 1.8L NA. The GTS in the video comes with 180Bhp as well becuase of the petrol and smog laws and so on.

Toyota quote 7.4 for the 190, the facelifted VVTL-i was quoted at 7.2 though (?)

On a UK 2000 X reg (pre-facelift) there was the following packs:

Premium pack = Leather front seats, rear vinyl seats. Electric sunroof, Digital climate control.

Dynamic Pack = 17" alloys, rear spoiler, sideskirts (hides the awful black/grey along the bottom of gen7 celicas), frontskirt.

Sport Pack = 17" alloys, rear spoiler.

basically mate. Well it's a CAI with a light flywheel so there isn't any real power gains. Ours have 10Bhp more than the one on the video anyway.

I'd get one mate. I love mine :D

Yep, already wanted one as my next car - that's confirmed it! :D

Just have to wait & see what happens work wise & maybe wait a little to help with insurance...hmmm could always keep the Seo as well! :D
