1998 Camry Check Engine Light

Hello all,

The check engine light came on and I hooked a Snap-On MicroSCAN up to the car. It is telling me the code is P1705, which I can't seem to readily find on the web (at least not the Toyota equivalent). Anyone have any ideas? The light came on and then went away, and seems to run fine.

Thanks!

I just looked in my 1997---1998 Camry, Avalon, Solara Haynes repair book...

That code is not listed in it eather.

The only P17nn listed is P1780.

Sorry

I was looking around in my book I found your error.

P1705=

Defective direct clutch speed sensor, anopen or short in the direct clutch sensor circuit or PCM malfunction.

That's in the Automatic transaxle part of the book.
