Yellow Spanner Dash Light

I have a 2006 D4D.

Just recently the little yellow spanner warning light on my dash seems to stay on longer than it used to when I start the car. It flashes about 5 or 6 times then goes out. It may always have done this and I have only just noticed but can I ask any other phase 2 d4d owners what happens with this light when they start their cars?

It is on the left of the display, above the clock.

Many thanks

Alan

Trouble is that it was serviced about 2 months ago 40 K service. First time it hadn't been serviced by Toyota. Used a good local Garage and Toyota Parts including the oil.

The only thing that did conern me a that the oil was black just 1500 miles after the sevice. Would this be normal with a diesel?

Now..today the car partially cut out at speed on the motorway, no power and all the dash lights on. I started coasting and it just started again and ran normally until coming off the motorway when it seemed to partially stall again.

No smoke, no odd noises. Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

Hello again

Does this light go out immediately normally?

Ta

Hello

Solved the problem. The light has to be reset after the service. Found a simple procedure on "yarisworld" and light is now out.

kind regards
